myMarina App and V-Assist

Once again, Soldiers Point Marina is riding the technology wave with the introduction of the myMarina app.

The myMarina app allows you to request assistance with:

  • Request assistance with parking
  • Request a Courtesy Car
  • Unloading and taking supplies/luggage to the boat
  • Pre-fueling the boat
  • Wash down, turn on fridges, air con etc
  • Order ice, food, alcohol
  • Assistance with leaving and arriving on the marina

The App is easy to activate and use, with a user name and password set up via at the Soldiers Point Marina office.

The Boat Shed Café and The Deck Café provide a magnificent range of snacks and meals which can be ordered via myMarina. All food and alcohol delivered to the boat are billed to your account at cost.

The myMarina app also links with V-Assist to provide ease of communications with you and the marina. It means that you can plan ahead and help us ensure we have everything ready for you when you arrive by car or return by boat.

V-Assist keeps us on alert when you come near the marina on land or on water.  Each customer is issued with 2 tags, similar to those used for toll roads, one for the car and one for the boat.  On approach by road, an alert is triggered as they pass a sensor about 3 km from the marina, which identifies the Customer’s car, generating a text message to us advising that you are approaching.

This allows us to be prepared to assist you with ie, parking your car in the customer car park, unloading supplies, assisting with luggage, shopping etc. to the boat, stowing the items and making the boat ready for your use.

In the case of a boat returning to the marina, a sensor located on a nearby point triggers the message and the Dock Master is advised that you are approaching. This readies assistance for mooring and for us to assist you with unloading and returning to your vehicle.

Testimonial

We have been at the marina for 2-3 years now and it is an experience to be moored there. The on wharf staff are absolutely fabulous and whenever there is any sort of incident, ie bad weather, you know that they will attend to your boat without you having to race down there. They will also help you get out of the marina or moor up in bad weather or a high tide running, which is a great help to amateur mariners. The added bonuses are of course the wonderful bathroom facilities, access to two great restaurants, the early morning coffees and the sunset cocktails. All in all, a great experience.
